Update for January 21, 2012

Well, I've gotten another tower done.  I got most of it, except the white windows, done in about a day.  I just have not been feeling very good so I didn't get around to finishing it till just now.  Only a few more towers to go and the base and this project is done!  Here's the pics...

Update for January 15, 2012

Well I have been stitching, not too much.  I had a couple of really down days within the last week.  I'm finally back to "normal" and I'm feeling better.  I just finished stitching the long blue tower with the orange top.  Hope you like it.  Here's the pics...

Update for January 11, 2012

Well I finished the tower I was working on so had to take update pics.  Sorry for 2 posts in one day and not much further along.  Here they are...

Update for January 11, 2012

I've been stitching away...I've been dealing with something that gave me great anxiety.  So I've been occupying my time with stitching.  I've gotten oodles done.  Here are the pics!!

Starting Point for January 9, 2012

Well, I'm working on a large section of the bottom of the castle.  I think I screwed up somewhere so I see a frog in my future.  Anyway, I'm not much further than my pic yesterday, but I hope to get some stitching done today.  I hope to post another pic either tonight or tomorrow to show my progress.  Here's the pics.

Castle Update for January 8, 2012

I've gotten a bit more stitched.  Here are the update pics...

Castle Update for January 5, 2012

Hello!  I've been busy stitching again...Some interesting things have happened in stitchy world.  First let me tell ya.  So I went to the craft store I usually go to for fabric and had her cut some fabric for the last two projects in my progression list.  I went with a high count linen.  She asked me if I was going to do 1 over 1 or 1 over 2...I told her 1 over 1.  So she cut my fabric.  Well I was taught by a very helpful friend on fb exactly what 2 over 1 means and how to do it.  It looks so much better like that but my fabric is too small to do 1 over 2, so I need to go back to the craft store for some more fabby.  I'm glad I learned, finally, what 1 over 2 means.

While I was at the craft store I noticed they actually had q-snaps in stock.  So I picked up the 11x11 and 8x8 sizes.  I have tried them out and they are sooo neat.  I'll never use a hoop ever again...

Anyway enough babbling.  Here are the current progress pics for 'Once Upon A Time' or as I like to call it, the Castle.

January 1, 2012 Blizzard

Start of Thomas Kinkade's The Forest Chapel

Here's my official start for the Chapel one by Thomas Kinkade.  I just started stitching this today.  We are in the midst of a blizzard here in Northern Michigan, and my kids are with their dad right now.  So I should have plenty of time to stitch on this one today!  My house is, for once, in decent shape.  I just need to clean my kitchen good.  I'm excited about that!  The kids and I had such a good week.  Bedtimes went pretty smoothly and we all worked together cleaning up the living room/dining room in preparation for my step-mom, Sharon, coming over.  Nikolas was a huge help with the dining room, and Andrew (shock, shock) was awesome in helping clean up the living room.  In fact he did most of it, I just had to pick up a bit and vacuum.  My kids are sooooo amazing!  Anyway thanks for reading, and happy stitching to each one of you.  If you don't stitch...I can't thank you guys enough for taking the time out of your day to look at my projects and my progress.  It means sooooo much to me.....

Now I have to say a heartfelt thank you to one of my FLYsisters.  She is out of the kindness of her heart, scanning and emailing me all of the patterns she purchased.  I can't believe her generosity...I will never have to buy another pattern again thanks to her!  Of course I still will purchase charts/kits but WOW!  Thank you AussieRose.  I can't thank you enough!!

Start for Holiday House

I barely got a start on this one.  I've had lots of company lately and we all know Nat, I am a SHE (Sidetracked Home Executive) and I've really been having to keep up on my house.  I haven't been doing very good on the house, so that's taken priority, hence such a small start on this one...I did change the fabric from a brown to a baby blue which is hard to see in these pics.  I hope it turns out as nicely as the pic of the sample project on the brown.  Happy looking!

Start for Winter Rocking Horse

I got quite a bit done on this one.  These rocking horse bases are proving to be challenging because there are a ton of diagonal 1/4 stitches in them.  But so far sooo good they've all matched up so I'm doing something right.  I hope you enjoy this one!

Start of new project

I haven't gotten very far on this one either!  I love the rocking horses series tho.  But this is what all I got done in one day.  I usually stitch these days when the kids are here, when I'm sitting in my room making sure Alex stays in his crib.  Sorry it's not much of a(n) start/update!

Start of new project

Well it's been awhile since I've updated...I've just been so busy with the holidays, I've hardly picked up my needle at all...  Here's the next project in the series.  I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a very Happy New Year!  I haven't gotten very far on this one but I will slowly but surely!  Thanks for looking!!
